Inflection classes with foreign elements

 
These inflection classes describe the inflection of foreign words which are partly or completely inflected according to foreign language patterns.

Some nouns of foreign origin change their stems before the German plural ending. In many cases, the modification consists in deleting a part of the singular stem. The deleted part usually corresponds to a singular suffix in the original language. Some nouns of foreign origin form their plural like in the source language:
